Job Description: 

As an Integration and Test Engineer at AstroForge, you'll be vital in spacecraft development, ensuring smooth integration of components. Your role involves connecting boxes, routing cables, and assembling spacecraft mechanically. You'll manage integration timelines, work with electronics, run tests, and collaborate with software teams. Proficiency in Python, CAD tools, and schematics is essential, along with meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate avionic subsystems seamlessly into spacecraft, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
  • Assemble specialized build boxes, harnesses, and cables to form complete spacecraft systems.
  • Coordinate integration timelines, including HITL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing during development phases.
  • Conduct electrical tasks, such as testing equipment and ensuring proper wiring connections.
  • Collaborate with ground and flight software teams to test and validate system functionality.
  • Develop and execute test procedures using Python scripts and other software tools.
  • Document integration processes, including creating test plans and writing detailed procedures.
  • Utilize CAD tools for design review and interpretation of schematics.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and testing processes.
  • Potentially take on test board design using schematic tools such as Altium Designer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in spacecraft integration or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of avionic subsystems and their integration into spacecraft systems.
  • Experience with CAD tools for design review and analysis.
  • Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring and harnessing techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective coordination and documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work onsite in Huntington Beach, CA

Salary

  • 100k - 140k
